If your mobile device is locked, unlock it by entering your pin code or using another means of access e.g. biometrics.
This will most probably be a green icon with an image that resembles an old telephone handle open the app by tapping on the icon.
Type *#06# and then the dial button and your screen should display the device's IMEI number
